This website is designed to provide outrech and education information on the MS4 Permits requirements for Towns of Allenstown and Pembroke, New Hampshire. Please check back often as the site will be updated when new information becomes available or as we pass permit benchmarks.
Think Blue Suncook is a joint effort of Pembroke, Allenstown and the Central New Hampshire Regional Planning Commission (CNHRPC) to address new EPA requirements for communities that have small, municipal separate storm sewer systems (MS4). This website was created to provide education and outreach to the residents of these communities on ways to reduce stormwater runoff. There are several activities and programs that are being implemented to protect the water quality of local streams, rivers, and wetlands.
The MS4 area includes the Suncook Wastewater Treatment Facility, located in Allenstown. Since initial construction in 1977, the Facility has been used and paid for by both Allenstown and Pembroke. For more information on MS4 and the MS4 permit, please refer to the MS4 Overview page.
